Title: SIX DAYS CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME

FOR TEACHERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF "AMRAZ-E-AIN", "UZN", "ANF", "HALAQ WA ASNAN"

Dear Sir/Madam

It is the matter of immense pleasure for us to announce that Department of Ain, Uzn, Anf, Halaq wa Asnan, Mohammadia Tibbia College and As-Sayer Hospital, Mansoora, Malegaon is going to organize a six (06) days Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme for the teachers of concerned department, sponsored by Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India from 05 to 10 December 2022. Earlier Ain, Uzn, Anf, Halaq wa Asnan were under Jarahiyat but since 2016 it has been developed as a full-fledged department. It is an integral part of Unani System of Medicine and deals with diseases related to Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat and their management. In this regard it is mandatory to acknowledge the contribution of Unani physicians like Ibn-e-Haitham who is referred as "Father of modern optics" he wrote a book "Kitabul Manazir" eight centuries back. Yohanna bin Masoya who wrote "Kitabul Ain"and Hunain bin Ishaq who wrote "Kitabul Ashr Maqalaat fil Ain. Vision impairment is the bigger challenge of the community. According to World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 314 million people have visual impairment worldwide, of whom 269 million have low vision and 45 million are blind, out of this in India there is 4.95million people are blind. 90 percent of all blind and visually disabled people live in middle and low income countries. Hearing impairment is also one of the leading contributors to years lived with a disability, with over 5 per cent of the world's population (360 million people) currently living with a disabling hearing loss. The presence and impact of disabling hearing loss is unequally distributed across the world, with the burden of hearing loss (both individual and societal) being greatest in low-resource countries, where access to education, medication, technology and interventions is limited. Unani system of medicine is an integral component of health care system in India and has the potential to be the first in nation building by providing health facilities in remote areas. The goal of this CME programme is to revive and update the knowledge of the subject and it has been structured to improve the competence of teachers through lectures, presentations and demonstrations. The organizing committee would like to invite the applications from teachers of the subject to participate in the CME programme and send the duly filled registration form, Aadhar and State Registration to the Organizing Secretary by the speed post and scanned copy via Email at cmeent2022@gmail.com latest by 20th October 2022.

CME Registration

  • The guest speaker Dr.Javed Ahmad Khan Assistant prof. dept. of Amraze Ain Uzn Anaf wa Halaq MTC. Malegaon delivered his lecture on “importance of Fasd”, he reflected his profound knowledge on the topic and highlighted the results of fasd in various diseases.
  • After tea break Dr. Ayesha Fatema Assistant prof. Dept. of Moalijat Z.V.M. Pune, spoke on ‘OPD based procedures in ilaj bit tadbeer” and she demonstrated different procedures like Hijama, humool, dalk on patients.
  • After lunch speaker Dr. Nikhat Shaikh Research officer PRIUM, Mumbai, exhibited her knowledge and experiences on “leach therapy in unani system”.
  • Dr. Ghazla Javed HOD & Associate prof. dept. of Manafe ul Aza, Z.V.M, Pune, elucidated “Role of ilaj bit tadbeer in pain management”. She explained how various procedures relieves the pain.
  • Dr. Mohammad Qaisar HOD & Associate prof. dept. of Hifzan e Sehat M.I.J.T. medical college, Mumbai, overawed the trainees with his lecture on “Management of lifestyle disorders in ilaj bit tadbeer”.
  • Dr. Rahmani Shaheda HOD & Associate Prof. Dept. of Ilmul Atfal MTC. Mansoora, Malegaon, shared her clinical experiences with the trainee.

  • After breakfast Dr. Asif Ansari Assistant prof. dept. Of Ilmul Advia, Z.V.M. Pune, reflected his profound knowledge on the topic, “Single drug therapy in unani system of medicine” he emphasized on treatment with single drug because it is better & also recommended by great ancient physicians.
  • Dr. Mohammad Akram HOD & Assistant prof. dept. of Ilaj bit Tadbeer MTC. Malegaon, resource person demonstrated, “OPD based procedures in ilaj bit tadbeer”. With his interactive session he ignited the inquisitiveness of participants.
  • After lunch Dr. Taufeeque Ahmad HOD & Associte prof. dept. of Amraz e Ain Uzn Anaf wa Halaq MTC. Malegaon, express his wide knowledge on “Inkebab therapy in ENT diseases”, and demonstrated many cases practically.
  • Dr. Mohammad Shakir Assistant prof. dept of Hifzan e Sehat, MTC.Malegaon, explained “Importance of Dalk in unani practice”. He demonstrated types, indications and benefits of dalk.
  • Dr. Wahidullah Farooqui Prof. dept of Hifzan e Sehat, MTC.Malegaon, shared his experiences and knowledge on case presentation. He also discussed principles of unani treatment.
  • An exalting demonstration on “Leech Therapy” was given by Dr. Rahul Baveskar, Associate prof. dept of Surgery Ajmira College, Dhule. He described hundreds type of leech, their enzymes and mechanism of action.
  • Validictory programme was presided by Principal MTC. Dr. Abul Irfan. Certificates were distributed to the participants. Feedback of workshop was taken by participants. It was ended with vote of thanks.

  • The workshop for batch ‘B’ batch was started with recitation by intern Mahmood Ansari. It was presided by Dr. Abul Irfan, Principal, MTC, Malegaon and Dr. Mohammad Akram, Assistant Professor of MTC., anchored the programme. Twenty four AYUSH Unani doctors of various working places of Maharashtra were participated.
  • In inaugural function co-ordinator Dr. Jawwadullah Khan, highlighted the role of AYUSH in health services, achievements of previous workshops, goals and need of such workshops. Dr. Abul Irfan, principal, MTC., motivated trainees for learning & expressed his best wishes to trainee. Guest speakers were felicitated. Thereafter Dr. Rahmani Shaheda explained the aims, objectives & schedule of the workshop.
  • Dr. Shahzad Aamir Assistant prof. Dept. of Jarahat, MTC. Malegaon spoke on “leech therapy in unani system”, he shed light on application of leech.
  • After Tea break Dr. Tanzeem Kadri & Assistant prof. dept. of Ilaj bit Tadbeer M.I.J.T. Mumbai, exhibited her knowledge on’ “OPD based procedures in ilaj bit tadbeer”, participants were engrossed with her practical demonstration.
  • After lunch Dr. Qumqamuddin Farooqui Principal INamdar Unani Medical College, Gulberga, described, “case presentation (group discussion), trainees actively participated in group discussion.
  • Thereafter Dr. Sharique Zoheb Associate prof. dept. of Ilmul Advia MTC. Malegaon, explained, “Single drug therapy in unani system of medicine” he emphasized on treatment with single drug because after single drug therapy we can claim the result efficiently.
  • Dr. Abul Irfan Principal & HOD dept. of Jarahat, MTC. Malegaon, explained, “Ethics in Unani ilaj bit tadbeer”. He emphasized on “does and don’ts” during practice.

  • In the morning session Dr Mohammad Sajid Khan Qaisar HOD & Associate prof. dept. of Hifzan e Sehat MTC. Malegaon, delivered lecture on “Role of ilaj bit tadbeer in pain management”, he explained various procedures like dalk, pashoya, takmeed for relieving pain.
  • Dr. Mohammad Akram HOD & Assistant prof. dept. of Ilaj bit Tadbeer MTC. Malegaon, explained “OPD based procedures in ilaj bit tadbeer”, participants were engrossed with his practical demonstration.
  • After lunch break Dr. Sayyed Minhaj Assistant prof. Ilmul Atfal MTC. Malegaon, spoke on “Management of lifestyle disorders in ilaj bit tadbeer” specially on disorders & management of obesity.
  • Next session was started followed by tea break. Dr. Yahiya Khan HOD & Associate prof Dept. of Kulliyat MTC. Malegaon, delivered lecture on “Intervention of Moalijat in neurological disorder”, he described causes, usool e ilaj & unani ilaj of paralysis in detail.
  • Validictory programme was presided by Principal MTC. Dr. Abul Irfan. Certificates were distributed to the participants. Feedback of workshop was taken by participants. It was ended with vote of thanks.

  • The workshop for batch ‘C’ was started with recitation by intern Mahmood Ansari. It was presided by Dr. Abul Irfan, Principal, MTC, Malegaon, Dr. Abdul Majid an Office In-charge of MTC. also shared about facilities provided trainees and Dr. Mohammad Hamed, Assistant Professor of MTC., anchored the programme. Twenty two AYUSH doctors of different working places were participated.
  • In inaugural function AYUSH State co-ordinator Dr. Farah shaikh, highlighted the role of AYUSH in health services, goals and need of such workshops. Dr. Rahmani Shaheda explained the aims & objectives of the workshop, Dr. Abul Irfan, principal, MTC., expressed this thoughts on ilaj bit tadbeer & surgery, he motivated trainees for learning. Guest speakers were felicitated. The guest speaker Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Assistant prof. dept. of Jarahat Z.V.M. Pune, delivered his lecture on “leech therapy in unani system”, he reflected his profound knowledge on the topic and highlighted the results of leech therapy in various diseases.
  • After tea break Dr. Naseem Ahmad Assistant prof. dept. of Kulliyat MTC. Malegaon, spoke on “OPD based procedures in ilaj bit tadbeer” and he demonstrated different procedures specially Nutool in detailed.
  • Thereafter speaker Dr. Mohammad Akram HOD & Assistant prof. dept. of Ilaj Bit Tadbeer MTC, exhibited his profound knowledge and experiences on “OPD based procedures in ilaj bit tadbeer”, he demonstrated fasd, dalk, hijama and inkebab on patients.
  • After lunch Dr. Anees Shah HOD & Prof. depr of Ain Uzn Anaf wa Halaq Iqra unani college Jalgaon, elucidated “Cupping therapy in unani with modern concept.”
  • Dr. Wahidullah Farooqui Prof. Hifzan e Sehat MTC., shared his experiences and knowledge on case presentation. He also discussed principles of unani treatment, trainees were very well interacted.
  • Dr. Mohammad Zubair HOD & Associate prof. dept. of Moalijat MTC, overawed the trainees with his lecture of “Intervention of Moalijat in neurological disorder”, case of paralysis was also presented by him.
  • Dr. Rahmani Shaheda HOD & Associate prof. dept. of Ilmul Atfal MTC, shared her clinical experiences with the trainee.

  • After breakfast DrIsa Nadvi Prof. Dept. of Hifzan e Sehat, M.I. J.T. Mumbai, reflected his profound knowledge on the topic, “Role of ilaj bit tadbeer in pain management” he recommended ilaj bit tadbeer procedures inspite of drugs because of its side effects.
  • Dr. Mohammad Akram HOD & Assistant prof. Dept. of Ilaj Bit Tadbeer MTC, Malegaon, resource person demonstrated, “OPD based procedures in ilaj bit tadbeer”. With his interactive session he ignited the inquisitiveness of participants.
  • After lunch Dr. Rahmani Shaheda HOD & Associate prof. dept. of Ilmul Atfal MTC, Malegaon, expressed her wide knowledge on “Management of lifestyle disorders in ilaj bit tadbeer” and she shared her clinical cases & research pcod with trainee.
  • After tea break Dr. Arshad Jamal Assistant prof. Dept. of Amraz e Jild, MTC. Malegaon, explained “Importance of Fasd in unani practice”. He explained indications, results of fasd in detail.
  • Dr. Isa Nadvi, Dr. Abdul Majid, Dr. Yahiya Khan, Dr. Minhaj, Dr. Rahmani Shaheda were presented in Validictory programme, it was presided by Principal MTC. Dr. Abul Irfan. Certificates were distributed to the participants. Feedback of workshop was taken by participants. It was ended with vote of thanks.
