Title: SIX DAYS CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME
FOR TEACHERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF "AMRAZ-E-AIN", "UZN", "ANF", "HALAQ WA ASNAN"

It is the matter of immense pleasure for us to announce that Department of Ain, Uzn, Anf, Halaq wa Asnan, Mohammadia Tibbia College and As-Sayer Hospital, Mansoora, Malegaon is going to organize a six (06) days Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme for the teachers of concerned department, sponsored by Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India from 05 to 10 December 2022. Earlier Ain, Uzn, Anf, Halaq wa Asnan were under Jarahiyat but since 2016 it has been developed as a full-fledged department. It is an integral part of Unani System of Medicine and deals with diseases related to Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat and their management. In this regard it is mandatory to acknowledge the contribution of Unani physicians like Ibn-e-Haitham who is referred as "Father of modern optics" he wrote a book "Kitabul Manazir" eight centuries back. Yohanna bin Masoya who wrote "Kitabul Ain"and Hunain bin Ishaq who wrote "Kitabul Ashr Maqalaat fil Ain. Vision impairment is the bigger challenge of the community. According to World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 314 million people have visual impairment worldwide, of whom 269 million have low vision and 45 million are blind, out of this in India there is 4.95million people are blind. 90 percent of all blind and visually disabled people live in middle and low income countries. Hearing impairment is also one of the leading contributors to years lived with a disability, with over 5 per cent of the world's population (360 million people) currently living with a disabling hearing loss. The presence and impact of disabling hearing loss is unequally distributed across the world, with the burden of hearing loss (both individual and societal) being greatest in low-resource countries, where access to education, medication, technology and interventions is limited. Unani system of medicine is an integral component of health care system in India and has the potential to be the first in nation building by providing health facilities in remote areas. The goal of this CME programme is to revive and update the knowledge of the subject and it has been structured to improve the competence of teachers through lectures, presentations and demonstrations. The organizing committee would like to invite the applications from teachers of the subject to participate in the CME programme and send the duly filled registration form, Aadhar and State Registration to the Organizing Secretary by the speed post and scanned copy via Email at cmeent2022@gmail.com latest by 20th October 2022.
